Paper Monsters is an iPhone and Ipad game where you play as a little paper dude, trying to get to the next level, collect the silver and gold buttons, and the gold paper clips for the highest rating possible, all while trying to jump on and/or avoid a bunch of paper monsters. The game plays like a cross between a Mario game and old 2d play, 3d graphics affairs for the original Sega Saturn and Sony Playstation systems, and its graphics are excellent especially for an iPhone game, so if that’s the reason you downloaded it, you probably aren’t alone.
Paper clips aren’t really too important to actually beating the stage. If you want to unlock the seasonal chapters, you don’t need to get paper clips to do so. To unlock the drag and dash game, you need to beat all of the stages on chapter one in order to do so. To unlock heartbreak shakedown, you need to beat all of the regular chapters, and then it will be available. So don’t get your character killed trying to go for the paper clips until you really want to start beating high scores all over the place.
If you aren’t happy with the amount of gold buttons you have, but there’s stuff you want in the store, the way to get them for free is to go back and play stages you have already completed, beat them and then keep the gold buttons. You can play the stages over and over and collect the silver buttons. While the gold buttons don’t appear to be there anymore when you play through a stage again, collecting fifty silver buttons and then beating the stage earns you 1 gold button per fifty buttons. So just go back through, get your fifty and then beat the stage asap. And if you get killed but you want more buttons, and start at the checkpoint, backtrack so that you can go for the buttons that are earlier in the stage.
